New Library Update!

The library has been closed for our move for nearly a month now. We as staff are just as impatient as you are for us to be open and operating as usual –but better, in our amazing new library!

So, here’s what’s happening (and why we’re so delayed).

It’s our Shelving. We can’t unpack our collection (that is: books, dvds, Library of Things, music, audios…) until we have shelves to put them on.

The good news is: We FINALLY have an installation date of July 13th! The process is anticipated to take 2 ½ days. Which means, we will be fully closed on Thursday, July 16th for our volunteers to return and help to unpack.

But it also means we will be OPEN starting July 17th and we’ll have our FIRST Saturday open since June 6th on the 18th!

However, we DO have some programs happening this week already as we had anticipated this move being much more streamline…

  • Storytime in the Park w/ Michelle, Tuesdays, 10:30 AM on the EAST side of the park this year (same side as the library).
  • Pint Size Polkas, Wednesday July 8th, 4 PM, Multipurpose Room
  • Career Explorers: Tattoo Artist, Thursday, July 9th, 2 PM, Multipurpose Room (RSVP here, please!)
  • Adventure Movie (TBA), Fridays at 2 PM, Multipurpose Room.

Then we also have our Anniversary Week events happening, simultaneous with the install!

  • Cloverleaf Critters, Monday July 13th, 2 PM. Multipurpose Room.
  • Ancient Cooking: Bread, Tuesday, July 14th, 5 PM, Multipurpose Room
  • Author Talk & Signing w/ Jacoby Matott, Wednesday, July 15th, 2 PM, Multipurpose Room
  • CLOSED, Thursday July 16th for Unpacking
  • Adventure Movie (TBA), Friday July 17th, 2 PM, Multipurpose Room
  • Do Art: Dinosaur Beads, Saturday, July 18th, 11 AM, Multipurpose Room.

Lastly, we WILL start our courier delivery again, starting TOMORROW, Tuesday the 6th. We will be available for pick-ups, OR you can pick up your items from the Book Lockers –just let us know that’s what you’d like to do.

Note for Book Locker users: It is EASIEST if you have your card, but we’ll also assign you a unique-to-you PIN if you don’t have it on you. We can also replace your card if necessary.
